UK true crime drama Manhunt, starring Martin Clunes, returns to Seven tonight.
Season 2 “The Night Stalker,” which has only just screened in Britain, sees Colin Sutton (Clunes) investigate the real life story of a notorious serial rapist who terrorised south east London. Writer Ed Whitmore adapts the series from Colin Sutton’s diaries.
This is a 4 part miniseries which launches with a double episode (note: doco The Real Manhunter airs at 10:30pm).
DCI Colin Sutton is asked to review the police investigation into a series of rapes, sexual assaults and burglaries that took place in south-east London between 1992 and 2009. Working with Det Supt Simon Morgan and the Operation Minstead team, the detective proposed a strategy he believed could catch one of Britain’s most prolific rapists.
