Returning: Restoration Australia

Prof. Anthony Burke follows homeowners across the country as they restore heritage homes on the brink of ruin.

Season 4 of Restoration Australia begins this Sunday on ABC with new host Prof. Anthony Burke succeeding Stuart Harrison.

Episode 1 is filmed in Pambula, NSW.

Across the country, thousands of heritage buildings lie in ruin – forgotten, neglected and slowly decaying into the landscape. But these are more than just crumbling old homes – they are touchstones to our past.

Over each episode of the latest series, Anthony Burke, professor and history buff, follows homeowners across the country as they passionately restore tired and ageing heritage homes and bring them back to life. From signalman’s quarters, to a Mid-Century relic, from an 1850s workers cottage, to a Queen Anne Federation home, we start at the beginning of each homeowner’s journey and watch as they transform their run-down properties into beautifully restored homes.

Production credits: A Fremantle Production for the ABC.

7:40pm Sunday on ABC.
