“Since this is going to be a major news story any minute now…”

It was a truly bizarre moment during filming of The View in the USA when two hosts, Ana Navarro and Sunny Hostin, were asked by producers to step away from the host set.

Veteran presenter Joy Behar later explained both had tested positive to COVID-19, just as she was about to introduce Vice President Kamala Harris. Seriously.

“Since this is going to be a major news story any minute now…” Behar began, adding that both tested positive but were vaccinated “up the wazoo, y’know!” It wasn’t clear why both were on air without a negative test but it was later revealed that both hosts in fact tested negative in rapid antigen tests.

Harris would later appear backstage via remote video link after the hosts took impromptu audience questions.
