Cash for Cachet
Their titles bring entitlement, but how much should the British Royal Family be allowed to exploit that privilege? The latest shadow cast over the Windsors comes from accusations they can and are being bought. It’s a growing controversy coming at a terrible time, with increasing fears about 95-year-old Queen Elizabeth’s health. But as Tara Brown reports, some very curious characters have been doing some very dubious deals with the royals, who appear to act as if cash for cachet is perfectly acceptable.

Jet Star
For anyone who has ever dreamed of having superhero powers, of strapping rockets to their back, blasting off and soaring through the air, the wait is over. It’s all thanks to a real-life Iron Man, an Australian of course, who has spent the last 15 years developing an extraordinary jet-powered backpack. In his quest to fly high David Mayman has endured plenty of painful lows, but now says his incredible machine is just about perfect. And that includes being safe enough for almost anyone to fly. On assignment for 60 Minutes, Nine News correspondent Amelia Adams takes an adrenaline-fuelled test-flight into the future.

Beauty and the Creep
For decades, agent Gerald Marie was one of the most powerful figures in the world of modelling. He is credited with establishing the careers of some of the industry’s biggest stars. But many of those famous models have turned on Marie. In May, 60 Minutes reported explosive allegations by 12 brave women that he had assaulted them and was a serial rapist. Five months on, there have been significant developments. The former models have taken their fight for justice to Paris to give testimonies to French prosecutors. They have also launched legal action against Marie in the United States.
