Angie Kent cops fine, disqualification after drink driving charge.

Former Bachelorette & Gogglebox star Angie Kent pleads guilty and apologises in Sydney court.

Former Bachelorette and Gogglebox star Angie Kent has been fined $1200 and a 4 month disqualification after pleading guilty to a .081 drink driving charge.

It was her second driving conviction, with the first in 2014, and followed several demerit letters.

Kent was pulled over for a random breath test on Sunday October 3, on the Anzac Bridge ramp in Pyrmont.

“I was pulled over on my way to a picnic in early October,” she told The Daily Telegraph. “I had two drinks on an empty stomach while getting ready. I was shocked but totally in the wrong and I take full responsibility. I am deeply regretful and sorry.”

She was in Sydney to film Dancing with the Stars: All Stars at the time with her lawyer noting she was away from her Queensland home and support base.

Kent has also completed a Traffic Offenders’ Program. Today in Sydney’s Downing Centre Local Court Lawyer, Justin Wong said Kent was “determined to make sure it never happened again”.

The judge determined Kent had suitable prospects of rehabilitation, accepts responsibility for her decision and was regretful.
