Angie Kent facing drink driving charge

Former Bachelorette and Gogglebox star Angie Kent has been charged with a mid-range drink-driving offence after being pulled over for a random breath test earlier this month.

She was pulled over for a random breath test on Sunday, October 3, on the Anzac Bridge ramp in Pyrmont and taken to Day Street Police Station where she submitted a breath analysis reading of 0.081.

She was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice for mid-range drink-driving and her driving privileges in NSW were suspended.

“I was pulled over on my way to a picnic in early October,” she told The Daily Telegraph. “I had two drinks on an empty stomach while getting ready. I was shocked but totally in the wrong and I take full responsibility. I am deeply regretful and sorry.”

It was a first offence for Kent, who has just completed filming of Dancing With The Stars.

She is scheduled to appear at Sydney’s Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday, October 27.
