Changes are afoot for the next season of Farmer Wants a Wife on Seven, with casting now seeking Female Farmers.
It’s good to see Seven varying the casting for its third season and hopefully this is a sign of further diversity for the dating series. Nearly a third of those who work in Agriculture are female.
Nine previously featured a Female Farmer in its final season in 2016.

I would love the show to change to “Farmer wants a marriage” or something similar. I was going to suggest a partner, but then realised that didn’t signify marriage and “Farmer wants a Husband” Only works for someone looking for a man.
It would be great to see a male farmer looking for a male partner and a female farmer looking for a female. Here’s hoping the heteronormative dating become less of the norm. Kudos to 10 for the upcoming Bachelorette casting a bisexual woman. And is it wishful thinking for a same sex couple in Love Island?
