“Seven strongly encourages vaccination”

Seven issued a statement after Home & Away actor declared on social media she is unvaccinated.

Seven has made the following statement following a range of headlines around Home & Away cast member Sam Frost declaring on social media she is unvaccinated.

“Seven strongly encourages vaccination for all our people and all Seven productions strictly adhere to the public health COVID-19 safe protocols. All Home and Away cast and crew also undertake COVID-19 testing three times a week in addition to other preventative measures,” a statement read.

“Sam Frost continues to work on Home and Away and follows the safety protocols in place.”

On the weekend Sam Frost told her Instagram followers:

“I was really hesitant about doing a video or even speaking up about this sort of thing, but I feel like it’s getting to a point now in the world where there’s a lot of segregation, a lot of harsh judgment, and it’s taking its toll on my mental health.

“There are a lot of different reasons people aren’t getting vaccinated – and it might be because of their medical history, their concerns they might have, they might have family history, it might be religious reasons, whatever.

“I want to tell those people that feel like they’re getting separated from society – well, I’m not vaccinated, and there’s a reason why I’m not, I’ve spoken to my doctor and my psychologist about it, and I’m going to keep it private.”

After media headlines and a range of support and criticism, she later deleted her Instagram account.
