  1. Too many ads & blurry images , for me …prefer the DVDs we swap around. One hour of commercial tv is 42 minutes but i can watch 3 episodes to 2 on tv , from dvds .

  2. Miss Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries are first run Acorn, they aired S2 in June. No mention of Miss Scarlet and the Duke S2, which has been commissioned, and was the last thing I watched on Seven’s secondary channels, that hadn’t been bumped from Seven.

  3. Sport is a big drawcard and I suspect the biggest reason that 7mate is the highest rater. Especially now that we have lost most of the men’s cricket, and Ch 7 prefers to not disrupt their “main” channel, the other sport (usually the superior WBBL, AFLW etc) goes to 7mate.

Personally, for both Seven and Nine I watch more content on the multichannels than their “flagship” shows. Similar for 10, although their offerings on the multis are not as appealing.

  4. Never stop doing these, please 🙂 Find them fascinating, multi-channels are never talked about by the mainstream media outside the networks and platforms like this website.

I do find it frustrating on your behalf that they “did not respond” to say “tech play out”, yet clearly when it came to “ratings performance” were more than happy to spend the time digging up data.

In regards to 7flix, the “success story” of “movies every night” only started a few weeks ago and it was the week where “Men In Black” franchise ran, the channel was over 2% every night, drawing over 4% one night and 3%-4% on the weekend, its best week in a couple of years. Usually averages under 2%. And this is Total People, in the demographics it clearly does very well with 16-39s / females (your pie charts that week showed it actually beat every single multi-channel in all demographics including similarly targeted 7mate, 9Go and 10 Peach). The channel just needs better consistency.

    1. HD should already be standard for all terrestrial television broadcasting channels, not having HD is a bit like maintaining Black and White broadcasting when all the content is made in colour. Terrestrial television broadcasters (FTA) are notoriously measured adopting new formats or broadcast technology, so it’s interesting that Broadcast Australia is carrying out 4K trials of DVB-T2 technology, a second phase of the trials took place in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, Qld. during March and April 2019. The 4K broadcast will use a new mode of Global digital TV tech called ‘extended single frequency’.
