Airdate: ATP Cup 2022

Stars from 16 countries compete in the first of Nine's Summer of Tennis events.

The ATP Cup begins on Saturday across Nine and 9GEM with tennis stars from 16 countries competing.

James Bracey and Roz Kelly host coverage across the nine day tournament.

Serbia will lead Group A, which also includes Norway, Chile and Spain.

Defending champions Russia have drawn Group B, alongside Italy, Austria and host country Australia. World No. 2 Daniil Medvedev will be looking to go back-to-back with Russia after defeating Italy in the final to win the ATP Cup in 2021.

Australia has qualified via a host wildcard, with our top male player, Alex de Minaur, leading the team. He will be joined by James Duckworth, Max Purcell, John Peers and Luke Saville.

Reigning Nitto ATP Finals champion, Tokyo 2020 Olympic gold medallist and world No.3 Alexander Zverev heads up Germany in Group C, which also includes Canada, Great Britain and USA.

And in Group D, Greece, led by world No.4 Stefanos Tsitsipas, will face up against Poland, Argentina and Georgia.

In the ATP Cup each country is represented by five players, with each tie comprising two singles matches and one doubles match.

Nine’s tennis coverage in early January doesn’t stop there. During the ATP Cup, a nine-day event, the Adelaide International and Melbourne Summer Set will also be played – followed by a new tournament, the Sydney Tennis Classic. And after that huge lead-up feast comes the first Grand Slam tournament of the year: the 2022 Australian Open.

        1. Hmm you’re right it was mentioned a while ago. ATP wasn’t in their weekly highlights issued yesterday but I have found “Stan Sport, the home of Grand Slam tennis, will stream every match of the Australian Open and the pre-tournaments ad-free, live and on-demand.” Apologies for any confusion.
