  1. Death In Paradise and Call The Midwife would be the Christmas Specials, something we don’t have. And The Pembrokeshire Murders was shown over 3 consecutive nights in January. The most popular shows in the UK are Christmas and end of season soccer, but they are all on Sky Sports.

    1. Christmas isn’t the guaranteed ratings blockbuster it was now – weekly drama like Vigil and Line of Duty get higher ratings every week than anything got over Christmas.

This list does ignore live sport too – about 30m watched the Euro 2020(1) final and 9m the US Open Final.

  2. Good to see that half of their top 10 are dramas.

Come to our top 10, and it will be filled with Reality Grand Final “segments” and Sporting Grand Finals (and post-match/ Presentation segments).

    1. I agree with you 100%, Jimbo. Where are the dramas in Australia?
As a footnote, almost all top level sport in the UK was gobbled up by pay-TV a couple of decades ago whereas legislation (much too weak) has partly prevented that here.
