The Voice: Generations: promo

Seven's twist on singing series will screen for just one week early next year.

Seven has released a promo for The Voice: Generations, a global-first special event that will apparently just screen for one week early next year.

Coaches Keith Urban, Rita Ora, Guy Sebastian and Jessica Mauboy have all been filming episodes in Sydney.

In a massive twist on the world’s biggest singing competition, The Voice Generations sees the nation’s greatest voices from each generation come together to perform in The Voice arena. Expect show-stopping performances, tears and triumphs as the power of music connects generations like never before.

Talented families, friends, neighbours and even students and teachers team up to vie for Voice glory in this special edition of the smash-hit series.

Across powerful Blind Auditions and epic Battles, the generations will sing head-to-head to claim their spot in the first-ever Voice Generations Grand Finale.

Don’t miss The Voice Generations, a singing competition for the ages, when it arrives on Channel 7 and 7plus in 2022.

  1. Refreshing from the network that usually does the opposite and kills the brand (MKR, Holey Moley). I also was pleasantly surprised with the Voice revamp last year and enjoyed it. Although the unlimited chair turns I think needs a rethink.

  2. Just one week? That is interesting. Kind of puts my mind at ease a bit that they’re not oversaturating the market. I kind of expected 3-4 weeks maybe more. I wonder how the format will work? Will it be usual blinds or? I’m now intrigued because honestly i was going to bypass this but if its only for a week, i might check it out and see what its about.
