Long-awaited small screen adaptation of Xbox franchise finally gets a premiere in March.

Double-kill!

The long-awaited series based on the hit Xbox franchise, Halo, will finally have its television premiere on Paramount+ in March.

The series stars Pablo Schreiber (American Gods) as the Master Chief, Spartan-117; Natascha McElhone (Californication) as Dr. Halsey, the brilliant, conflicted and inscrutable creator of the Spartan super soldiers; and Jen Taylor (Halo game series, RWBY) as Cortana, the most advanced AI in human history, and potentially the key to the survival of the human race.

Additional cast include Aussie Yerin Ha (Reef Break), Bokeem Woodbine (Fargo), Shabana Azmi (Fire), Natasha Culzac (The Witcher), Olive Gray (Half Moon Investigations),  Bentley Kalu (Avengers: Age of Ultron), Kate Kennedy (Catastrophe), Charlie Murphy (Peaky Blinders) and Danny Sapani (Penny Dreadful). Also joining the cast as original characters are Ryan McParland (6Degrees), Burn Gorman (The Expanse) and Fiona O’Shaughnessy (Nina Forever).

Thursday March 24 on Paramount+ and continues weekly.

Halo is either going to be a massive hit for Paramount+ (which it badly needs) or a disappointment with Halo gamer fans who will know what they are looking for, they wont take any creative or political reimagining of characters and familiar story arcs lightly. The shows comparison with Disney+’s Mandalorian and Boba Fett is already being made.
