Matty J. turns Studio 10 guest host

"You know the entertainment industry has been hit hard with Covid when you’re the only person available to host Studio 10!"

There were more changes to Studio 10 yesterday as a result of COVID impact with Tristan MacManus confirming he had tested positive.

“Network 10 can confirm that Tristan MacManus tested positive to Covid-19 via a rapid antigen test on Wednesday afternoon,” 10 said in a statement. “Tristan was asymptomatic and has been in self-isolation since returning a positive result. Tristan will remain in isolation pending the result of a PCR test.”

MacManus told viewers he felt tired on Wednesday and a RAT confirmed he was positive. Sarah Harris was also isolating yesterday, confirming her RAT indicated a “faint” result.

In their place former Bachelor Matty Johnson and 10 reporter Lachlan Kennedy stepped in to host, with Johnson saying on Instagram, “You know the entertainment industry has been hit hard with Covid when you’re the only person available to host Studio 10!”

He also admitted to a white lied when asked if he had any autocue experience.

10’s Angela Bishop is currently on holiday while Studio 10 regular Beau Ryan is off air in order to maintain the ‘TV magic’ of appearing in I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here. A number of staff are understood to have resumed working from home.

10 added, “Network 10 has activated its Covid safe plan, working in line with the current NSW Health Matrix, relevant guidelines and regulations to ensure the health and safety of all staff. As a precaution Sarah Harris will self-isolate until she receives the result of her PCR test. Network 10 has contingency plans in place to ensure the impact on its program schedule is minimal. The health, safety and welfare of all staff and the wider community remains Network 10’s number one priority.”
