NYE tops ratings week

New Year’s Eve Midnight Fireworks naturally drew the biggest audience of last week at 1.19m metro viewers for ABC.

Another 274,000 viewed it on ABC News.

That gave ABC its biggest evening share in over a year at 31.0%.

But the week went to Seven with its Ashes Series drawing up to 994,000 metro viewers.

Seven won Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Nine claimed Tuesday and Thursday. ABC won Friday and also bettered 10 on Sunday & Saturday.

Seven led in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. Nine won Sydney & Brisbane.
