Season 11 of Call the Midwife is fast-tracked to screens today.

The 8 part series includes Helen George, Leonie Elliot & Jenny Agutter, Judy Parfitt, Linda Bassett, Laura Main and Miriam Margolyes.

Following an eventful Christmas special, the series continues with an episode set in Easter 1967. Celebrations are underway for a colourful Easter Bonnet parade outside Nonnatus House. Sister Monica Joan and Reggie are excited about the Eurovision song contest and Nancy, having just passed her midwifery examinations, is about to don her red cardigan for the first time.

10am Monday on BBC First (8:30pm repeat).

  1. Sounds like they were planning on starting at Easter as they have done in the past, but it got moved forwards. Good thing Hot Crossed Buns are already on the shelves!
