Warren Tredrea departs Nine News

Nine News Adelaide sports presenter Warren Tredrea following negotiations with management.

Tredrea took leave from the station in early December after Nine introduced a double-vaccination mandate for all employees.

Nine told The Advertiser, “Nine can confirm Warren Tredrea will not be presenting sport on our Adelaide bulletins into the future. We are disappointed to see Warren leave but we wish him well.”

The AFL Hall of Famer and former Postcards presenter began with Nine News in 2000 as a cadet, and later as sports commentator. He became the weekday sports presenter in 2013.

Tom Rehn will continue to present sport over the summer break, with an official announcement on a replacement to be made in coming weeks.

Tredrea declined to comment.
