Before there was NCIS: Sydney there was Baywatch “Down Under” two special episodes of the US hit series produced in 1999.
Filmed at Avalon Beach, the cast included David Hasselhoff plus Aussies Simone MacKinnon, Tania Zaetta, Jodhi Meares, Nick Hudson, Christian Patterson.. and even an appearance by Rene Rivkin as himself.

Ah 1999. How’s the cultural diversity? Also good to see Baywatch was afflicted with the Home and Away curse – that any day a beach scene is scheduled it’s overcast and windy.
Also, Jared Robinsen in the centre there from Sons and Daughters.
And remember when Geelong was trying to lure Baywatch but it ended up moving to Hawaii ?
