Queen Sandra voted out of Australian Survivor

US champion unable to break a 16 day curse, is even sent home by her own daughter, Nina.

Two-time Survivor champion Sandra Diaz-Twine was voted out of Australian Survivor -including with a vote by her own daughter, Nina.

Sandra was unable to break her 16 day curse, which has seen her twice voted out of US editions.

But is the only two-time winner of the long running reality show, pocketing $2m for her trouble.

Last night she was unable to halt a flood of votes from her tribe, who viewed her as too big a threat. But she fared better than US contestant Russell Hantz, who was dumped by his tribe in a previous Australian edition.

Diaz has played 166 days of Survivor across the world, telling her tribe, “Play to win. If it doesn’t benefit you, don’t go along with just any plan.”

  1. I thought Sandra did bloody well to last that long but I have always thought the Twine’s participation was to hand the baton over to her daughter. Not that I’m complaining, mind. Nina is a phenomenal young lady and I hope she goes far. We’ll definitely see her in the US version at some point.

  2. Sandra is the first Two-Time winner not the only one. Tony Vlachos who won S28 won S40 Winners at War in 2020. Sandra also over-stated her total days played, she’s only played 126 days over her 5 seasons and was a mentor for 37 days in S39.

      1. Not even correct. 39+39+16+16+16+39=165. And she was not a mentor for the full 39 days, her and Rob departed the morning of Day 37. And she was not “playing” in Island of the Idols either. And she commented that her 166 days was consecutive which is also not true. She played 94 consecutive days before being vote out on Day 16 of Game Changers.
