AFL boosts Seven, but the week is still Nine’s to lose.

Seven won Thursday, Friday and Saturday, but MAFS is still unbeatable for Nine.

The return of AFL has given Seven a boost to its ratings performance.

Seven won Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. That pushed it to a win in 3 cities and within striking distance of Nine overall. If not for the low numbers of SAS Australia it might have nabbed the week.

But Nine prevailed thanks to its Q1 success story Married at First Sight.

The SA election also pushed ABC up on Saturday, with 10 yet to grab third place so far in a survey week.

  1. Is MAFS peaking this year? I guess what goes up, must come down at some point.
When they bring in same sex couple, or change the whole marriage expert panel is generally when you know the show is getting on and/or being refreshed for longevity.

  2. So 6 weeks into the ratings calendar this year and Ten still hasnt placed third ,that is a bit of a worry , Masterchef may fire up the ratings so we’ll wait and see ,depends what it will be up against.
