Airdate: Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

Next Star Trek Universe series led by Anson Mount is coming in May.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is now confirmed for Paramount+ from Friday, 6 May.

The series will follow Captain Pike (Anson Mount), Science Officer Spock (Ethan Peck) and Number One (Rebecca Romijn) in the years before Captain Kirk boarded the U.S.S. Enterprise, as they explore new worlds around the galaxy.

The premiere was written by Akiva Goldsman with the story by Akiva Goldsman, Alex Kurtzman and Jenny Lumet. Goldsman and Henry Alonso Myers serve as co-showrunners, with Goldsman directing the premiere episode. Goldsman, Kurtzman and Lumet serve as executive producers in addition to Alonso Myers, Heather Kadin, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, Rod Roddenberry, Trevor Roth and Aaron Baiers. The series is produced by CBS Studios, Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment.

Screening weekly from Friday, 6 May on Paramount+.

  1. Ten showed the Discovery S2 episodes with Spock, Pike and Number One, from which it is spun-off. It’s set a decade before TOS. They have already filmed two seasons and Kirk appears in the 2nd, though presumably not a in a red shirt.

    1. Hello Chuck128, The end point could be in 5 or more years or even a longer or shorter time. It might not even have a last episode dealing with Captain Pike at all?
