“Do you know how to make a killer coffee? Are you fun, confident, hardworking and keen to work in a high pressure, super charged environment? And do you wanna do all that on the TV?”

The Block is searching for a barista for its next season, filming in Gisborne (Victoria).

Applicants must be available for 30+ hours a week and able to travel to Gisborne for work or ideally live within 20 minutes.

  1. The point of having a barista is this: they will be called in by Scott Cam to deal with a cheating scandal and their vote will count to a team winning challenge. All to add to the drama and to hype up the ads for “Must watch tv” and “the biggest event to happen on The Block history”. While no actual renovating will be actually shown on air. For the 10th year in a row. lol

  3. Thought they usually just pulled these baristas from McCafe.. possible sign they might not be sponsors this year and going with their own block style cafe? Being more remote and not as accessible to shops/cafes/restaurants could make sense.. a lot block cafe/restaurant.
