The Time Traveler’s Wife: teaser

Rose Leslie and Theo James star in a complex new love story from writer Steven Moffat.

A teaser has dropped for the new six-episode drama series The Time Traveler’s Wife, starring Rose Leslie and Theo James.

Adapted by Steven Moffat (Doctor Who, Sherlock) from the novel by Audrey Niffenegger and directed by David Nutter, it tells the story of Clare and Henry, and a marriage with a problem… time travel.

Rose Leslie (Vigil, The Good Fight, Game of Thrones) stars as Clare Abshire, while Theo James (Divergent, Castlevania) stars as Henry DeTamble. It also features Desmin Borges as Gomez, and Natasha Lopez as Charisse.

An HBO and Warner Bros. Television production this is executive produced by Steven Moffat, Sue Vertue, and Brian Minchin through Hartswood Films; Joseph E. Iberti; and David Nutter.

It will screen on Binge in May.

  1. No mention of the previous recentish film version that has been on TV many times? Something that has the same title and source material is worthy of mention. Some friends of mine were surprised recently when I told them of the 1980s film version of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ that comes on SBS on a regular basis..

    1. The novel was SF/soft porn and the film similar. it has the idea of getting unstuck in time from Slaughter House Five, romance running in opposite chronological directions. Simiar to The Doctor and River Song, which is probably why they got Moffat in a writer and show runner. He should come up with something better than a melodrama full of random sex scenes. Nutter has a reputation for doing good SF pilots.
