US actor Tim Considine, best known for My Three Sons, has died aged 81.
He died Thursday at his home in Los Angeles, according to a Facebook post from co-star Stanley Livingston.
He started as a child actor in the 1950s, playing characters in Mickey Mouse Club serials but became best known as eldest son Mike in My Three Sons, led by Fred MacMurray as widower Steven Douglas.
Considine starred alongside Stanley Livingston as the youngest brother Chip and Don Grady as middle-child Robbie. The series ran from 1960 – 1972 although Considine left after 5 seasons.
After leaving My Three Sons he made numerous guest appearances in The Fugitive, Bonanza, Gunsmoke, Ironside, Medical Center and Patton
