Logie nominations date

Nominees to be announced in mid-May.

Nominations for the 62nd TV Week Logie Awards will be announced at a breakfast event on Sunday May 15th at 8am at the Burleigh Pavilion on the Gold Coast.

Prior to the pandemic there were changes announced to the way nominations would be selected including industry judges, ratings and social media  –TV Tonight understands the latter has been dropped.

Unlike previous years, viewers will not be contributing to the nominations, but voting for the winners. The eligibility period, spaning both Free to Air and Streaming platforms, is from 1st January, 2021 to 31st March, 2022 and managed by events company Rizer.

The Logies will be held on Sunday, June 19, at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre and screen on Nine.

  1. So the nomination lists for the public awards will be chosen for us by some people from the industry, rather than us – the public? And we just choose the winners from the shortlisted nominations list the industry chose from….? A shame really.

    After a two year break, you’d think the Logies would want public involvement more than ever

    1. It sorely needs a reset but unsure this is the way forward. Such a shame that so many productions and performances since the last presentation won’t be included. They could have found a way to honour the work last year or the year before. Judging happens by remote and nominations and winners could have been creatively announced without a full telecast. But it is what it is:(
