US mystery series Nancy Drew was recently renewed for a fourth season.
The series follows the famous teen sleuth, Nancy Drew, as she solves mysteries with her loyal group of friends.
The character originated in a series of novels first published in the 1930s but has since evolved into several television series and films since the novel’s first release.
The CW’s Nancy Drew series premiered in 2019 and stars Kennedy McMann who is the daughter of Lisa McMann, a Young Adult novelist. McMann’s role as a YA icon is certainly fitting considering that fact. The series also stars Leah Lewis as George and Scott Wolf as Carson Drew.
The series takes a different approach than previous iterations of the character and her famous mystery storylines, making Nancy herself the centre of a murder investigation.
It screens in Australia on Paramount+.
