9GO! fast-tracks Survivor US finale again

Double episode finale next Thursday morning on 9GO!

Great to see 9GO! again fast-tracking the Survivor finale for Australian fans.

No risk of online spoilers there.

Just 5 contestants remain in the series which screens as a double episode at 10am AEST Thursday May 26, live in all cities.

Due to the pandemic (when the series was shot) there is likely no full studio reunion once again, but the last season did see finalists discuss the season with host Jeff Probst after the winner was announced.

  1. Good news once again and even though the finale will be live to all markets, the announcing of the winner was again taped and I’m hoping for next season the announcing of the winner will be live once again.

  2. Thanks so much 9Go! Even though I do not necessarily agree with the “direction” US Survivor is going at the moment, I wouldn’t miss the episodes for the world!

  3. Sure I’ll watch every second, but now we’ve had two seasons of this new format with the ‘journeys’, the Shot In the Dark etc, I’m kinda over it. I hope season 43 gets back to basics at least a bit.

    1. I think 43 will be very different. They pretty much shot 41 and 42 as one season in 2 parts, with the shorter number of days. I think 43 will be longer and have a different look and feel.

    2. Nope, apparently still only 26 days. I do think they’ll drop some things from last 2 seasons though, Shot in that Dark has been a waste of time.

  4. Thanks again GO!, it’s much appreciated. I’ve really enjoyed this season. Unlike last season, this season has had a great mix of personalities and plenty of people to cheer for. It’s a big relief after last season where I was so disappointed and began to think my Survivor viewing days were over.

      1. They’ve both been impressive and if I had preference it would be Jonathan. He’s a big strong man, and his type generally get eliminated before the final 3 due to their strength. It would be nice to see the ‘strong man’ win for a change, but I’m also happy for most of the others to win too.

  5. It also looks like the French Open will be on 9GO in Survivor’s usual Thursday evening timeslot. Just a heads up for those expecting it to be on at that time and not able to watch it live at 10am.

    1. The French Open is on 9Gem according to my freeview guide. Survivor is still on 9Go Thursday evening and I assume this is a repeat of the live 10am broadcast.

      1. Sorry – should have specified that I’m looking at the Melbourne guide. Sydney and Brisbane are as you say due to the difference in the televising of the NRL.
