David Woiwod rushes to scene for breaking news in Texas
Seven News reporter was on assignment just one hour away from Robb Elementary School when Texas shooting unfolded.

Seven News reporter David Woiwod was in Texas this morning to report on the tragic school shooting.
Woiwod was able to do a live cross with Sunrise at 8am outside Robb Elementary School, Uvalde, after being on assignment one hour away and dropping everything to drive to the scene.
TV Tonight understands he was filming a story on illegal immigrants nearby at the time.
Tim Lester had been filing crosses for Seven from the LA bureau from 7am, handing off to David when he arrived.
Woiwod has been able to file live for Sunrise, The Morning Show and Seven’s Morning News, and will also report into the 4pm and 6pm bulletins.
21 people have died in the tragedy including 19 children and one teacher.
An 18-year-old gunman has been fatally shot after he went on a rampage at a Texas primary school, killing at least 14 children and one teacher.

David Woiwod is a very good reporter. I remember when he started reporting on Sunrise from Melbourne and then when he got promoted to go over to USA to report. Seems like a really nice guy and very good at what he does.
