Back in 1999 US producers Over the Hill Gang teamed with Australia’s Coote-Hayes Productions on 3 seasons of The Lost World, based on the works of Arthur Conan Doyle.
The fantasy saw a band of British adventurers crash a hot air balloon in the Amazon rainforest on an uncharted plateau where prehistoric creatures had survived.
The cast included Peter McCauley, David Orth, Jennifer O’Dell, Michael Sinelnikoff, William deVry and Aussies Rachel Blakely, William Snow, and Lara Cox with filming at Movie World on the Gold Coast and the Scenic Rim, next to Lamington National Park.
A total of 66 episodes were made, screening in Australia on 10, and now available on Prime Video.

the season 3 finale was such a cliff hanger its a shame they axed the show on this cliffhanger. would be great if amazon revived it. and the opening theme music was so epic.
This show had a lot of cameos from now well known Aussie actors including Rebecca gibney, the US had an uncut version on payperview which featured a lot of nudity apparently . The Australian version the nudity was cut out. The tree that was used for the tree house in this show is also seen in one scene on reef doctors which filmed in the same location
