Renewed: Big Sky

Jensen Ackles to become the new sheriff in town for season three.

Star / Disney+ drama Big Sky is returning for a third season.

The series created by writer David E. Kelley now stars Kylie Bunbury and Katheryn Winnick.

They’ll be joined by new series regular Jensen Ackles (Supernatural) who becomes the new sheriff in town.

Jamie-Lynn Sigler has also been upped to series regular for season three. She had a recurring role on season two as Tonya, a waitress at a local diner whose boyfriend mysteriously disappears.

The cast also includes Brian Geraghty, Dedee Pfeiffer, Omar Metwally and Anja Savcic.

  1. Really enjoy this show and agree with @Sully that 2nd season was a slow burn, looking forward to season 3 and to see where they take it. Brian Geraghty is so good as a baddie.

  2. Have really enjoyed Big Sky, but S2 was a slow burn at first, hasn’t quite hit the chills of the early episodes of S1 when JjCarroll Lynch and the massive plot twist. Still think Ryan Phillippe deserved more air-time. There’s been a few human exploitation themed movies and shows in recent years, another was Netflix’s “Traffik” with Omar Epps, Paula Patton and an excellent against-type Missi Pyle.
