  1. Do you know what time it drops? It is 1.30 pm WST 6 May now and according to my search it should be there by now. People are saying Amazon drops new programs at 12 am GMT. I am concerned I am looking in the wrong place or we are geo blocked.

      1. I’ve just been on an online chat with Prime. According to them Bosch Legacy is available on Prime through IMDb which is only available in the US. An email I received from Michael Connelly’s publicist said if you didn’t have access to IMDb you could watch it on Prime. One of them is wrong. A post on another au website said it was geo blocked on Prime but I can’t find it at all. Can you please investigate.

  2. It’s a shame that SBS seem not to have the rights for this Bosch spin-off. Not an Amazon fan!

However I’m pleased to see that Madison Lintz as Maddie Bosch is still part of the cast; the father-daughter relationship was portrayed superbly throughout the Bosch series as Maddie grew up, and was a key part of the series’s success.

    1. I’m very happy that SBS don’t have the rights. My queries revealed that it was in the agreement that SBS had to wait 6 months to put it on FTA TV. The last couple of seasons were a bit sooner on catch-up. Only a two month delay. Season 7 was geo blocked on Prime until quite recently. The arrangement was a legacy from when Australians didn’t take up streaming in large numbers.

      1. The confusion about whether, where and when this series will actually show up on Prime is exactly why I’m sorry SBS didn’t get the rights. We may have had to wait a few months for each Bosch series but it was free and available.

Not everybody has subscriptions to every streaming service – in fact most don’t.

  3. Bosch has provided consistent entertainment value, each season does not seem to last long once you start watching, which is always a good indicator of a well made show, at least for me. I suspect that continuing ‘Bosch’ in a spin-off (sort of) form had much to do with Welliver who doesn’t really have other successful shows to fall back on, he’s type cast so might as well continue on with Bosch while you can. My curiosity will be how many of Bosch’s police buddies and associates will become regulars and who will be given just an occasional cameo appearance in this new series.

    1. IIRC, Titus Welliver, Madison Linz, Mimi Rodgers and Cynthia Kaye McWilliams are the only “returning” cast. William Devane joining the cast. Confirmed cameos include Jerry, Mank and Crate & Barrel. Irv Irving a rumoured cameo.

        1. Yeah, that storyline has still got some work to do from what I remember of the books. Mind you, he’s not in every book and only mentioned in others.

  4. This was originally announced for IMDB TV, which is being rebranded as Amazon Freevee. Given the success of Bosch on Prime it always seemed like an odd decision.
