Sunday was an easy win for Seven but The Voice was down on 2021 finale.

While it was another successful season for Seven that figure is down considereably  on 2021’s 1.29m / 1.38m when the season screened post-Olympics.

Last night it was well ahead of MasterChef Australia (500,000 from 7:30pm), Grand Designs (426,000 from 7:40pm) and Celebrity Apprentice (390,000).

  1. Between The Project / 60 Mins and 7News Spotlight: what a bunch of underwhelming ratings data… Got to wonder how they can justify existence / Talent salaries with such a small audience.

A show like the Project wouldn’t be cheap.

  2. How can Channel 7 say Australia will decide the Winner of The Voice if it wasn’t even Live, it was Recorded!??
It has changed.. What a complete joke Channel 7.!!!!

  3. How the mighty have fallen. S1 of 2012 drew 3.238 million when it was previously on Nine. The following year, the ratings dropped more than 20% from 2012.
This year the winner announced topped just 779k on 7. This was a massive drop in ratings back 10 years ago.
I wonder what the ratings look like during 2014-20 seasons when it was previously on Nine?

    1. How about try and look up the internet archive website and type in tv tonight on the search bar then lets just
say pick one of the captures from 2014-2020 then once you get there click on the ratings page and then hopefully you find one of the days that had the voice on.
I hope this answers your question.

    2. Singing shows have been around for 20 years now since Popstars, we’re desensitised, have seen all the journey’s and transformations and rises and falls and blah blah- same old. Give us something new. Netflix, Stan, Binge mange to

  4. Really low numbers for Barons seem to suggest it’s not catering to ABC ‘older’ skewing audience. Unlike The Newsreader, story wise Barons offers nothing of interest to the plus 50 year olds.

  5. How things have changed. 2022 Voice final 0.75 million. In 2012 it was 2.6 million and in 2015 it was reported that The Voice final underwhelmed at just 1.66 million.

    1. While I agree it shows how times have changed, the total TV audience for The Voice last Sunday was 1.42m. I’m sure that will number go up slightly over the next 30 days.

There have never been more content options as of now with every single streaming service, TV Network and social media platform fighting for your viewership.

I say having 5% of the country watching 1 program is a success and then throw on top of that all the Facebook & YouTube views, and it would be closer to 20% of the country enjoying the program.

For all FTA criticisers, It’s not that TV is dying, it’s just that people consume entertainment in many different ways compared to just on a television.

  6. Well I am no expert but if I was in charge of Lachlin’s music future I would re record that cover of Time After Time. He did a great job. Has hit written all over it. I never like the new songs they have written for them. Congratulations to him
