  1. One of the ABC hosts that has been exemplary. She gets criticism from both sides of politics, which to me is a good sign of neutrality and fairness, despite the undue, unfair, harsh and unwarranted criticism. It’ll be seen if Sarah Ferguson can fill the position just as well. I didn’t have much confidence in Laura Tingle and her reporting on The 7.30 Report because of what I personally perceived to be bias and imbalance.

It’s not inclusive if it’s one-sided and this is across quite a bit of ABC programming. It’s our ABC, not their ABC.

      1. ABC is quite broad but I think it’s often stacked towards one side. Another example is that there was a recent skit with Nazeem on The Weekly with Charlie Pickering and it was very anti-LNP and anti-right-wing and I felt like I couldn’t relate or felt a bit alienated. It wasn’t inclusive. He was more rejectful of an LNP how to vote card and he was disparaging towards Pauline Hanson. Right-wing is quite multicultural and diverse nowadays. Look at the ACT Liberals or One Nation’s Raj Guruswamy and other candidates of ethnic background, for example. I thought to myself that it would’ve been quite funny if there wasn’t the undertone of sentiment. I’m more critical of the remnant political undertones rather than contradicting ABC in general.

        1. Weekly is a comedy show so it will be throwing rocks at authority, as Mad as Hell has done. They will probably start doing the same to the new govt. But, back to the topic of Leigh’s farewell…

  2. Congratulations to Leigh on a great career. Bit of a shame the last couple of years she came in for a bit of criticism (some of it justified, some of it not).

On to new things I assume? Good Luck.
