Have You Been Paying Attention seems to have been a quiet little achiever now for a few years. I would have expected it would also skew fairly young which would be desirable for its broadcaster. However, yes it did win each of the demographics but 163,000 in the youngest demo range out of 682,000 in total for the five big cities is less than 25% of viewers under 39.
I assume here there are very few under 16 watching due to the relatively adult content but even a generous 10% barely gets a third of a popular ‘youth’ programs viewers under middle age. The loss of younger viewers from free to air broadcasts has never been so marked.
