The Living Room: June 17

It's a Winter Special this week on 10.

Tonight The Living Room has a Winter Special.

Miguel kicks things off with the perfect winter dish, after being inspired by a tour of a herb farm in Victoria. His Caramelle with pesto LaGenovese sounds fancy, tastes fancy but is super simple to make.
Chris escapes winter by heading to the Northern Territory; enjoying plenty of thrills, and a few spills, as he takes a crash course in mountain biking across kilometers of rugged terrain. He cools off in one of the wonderfully remote watering holes, before spending a night under thousands of stars.
Amanda meets a star of her own, in the form of acclaimed artist Ben Quilty. He has opened a state-of-the-art gallery in his home town of Bowral, that features incredible artists from all over the world. Amanda does her best to add to that list, by dusting off her easel and painting Ben’s portrait, with impressive results.
The same can’t be said for the boys back in the studio, whose attempts to paint flattering pictures of Amanda, turn her a little off-colour.
Barry provides a perfect antidote to these cold winter months with a low cost, seasonal makeover. He has some essential styling to bring warmth to the inside and outside of our homes.
And Hack Off takes ingenuity to a new level, as Miguel blows up balloons with the magic of science. But if that wasn’t enough chemistry, Chris serenades Amanda with wine, and candlelight….made out of cheese.
This week’s Winter Special certainly gets heated.
