Next week on The Project are Steve Carrell, Calum Scott, Jimmy Carr, Kate Miller Heidke, Deborah Francis White plus a Logies cross.

It’s TV’s night of nights and after a two-year hiatus, we celebrate the return of the TV Week Logie Awards. On Sunday, we’ll cross to the Gold Coast for all the glitz and glamour of the red carpet to speak to our hosts and Gold Logie hopefuls, Julia Morris and Melissa Leong.

Also on Sunday, we catch up with multi-platinum singer songwriter Calum Scott. Calum is in the country to celebrate the release of his new album, Bridges, which has already spawned four singles, including his latest, Boys In The Street. We speak with Calum on the Gold Coast ahead of his performance at The Logies and upcoming Australian tour.

No stranger to our shores, British comedian Jimmy Carr has performed his special brand of humour to over two million people worldwide. Currently playing to packed houses in Europe on his Terribly Funny 2.0 Tour, Jimmy joins us live from London on Monday night for a very special announcement.

Waleed catches up with funny man and actor Steve Carrell (pictured) on Tuesday for his only Australian TV interview to chat about his latest role in Minions: The Rise of Gru, the latest film in the Despicable Me franchise, which opens in cinemas around the country on Thursday, 23 June. Steve has had a stellar film and television career, including The Office, The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Little Miss Sunshine and most recently auditioned for The Wiggles. We get the tea on how that audition went.

On Wednesday, we welcome singer songwriter and actress Kate Miller Heidke to The Project studio. The classically trained opera singer, who successfully crossed over to the alternative pop world, has released five albums including her latest, Child In Reverse. The Last Day On Earth singer is about to hit the road touring Australia in July. We speak to Kate about her incredible career.

Comedian, author and screenwriter Deborah Francis White joins us at the desk on Thursday. Her wildly popular award-winning podcast, The Guilty Feminist, has amassed an enormous 95 million downloads in the past five years. After spending 18 months locked-down in London, Deborah has returned home for her Australian tour which kicks off in Adelaide on 13 July.

6:30pm Sunday – Friday on 10.
