This Sunday, stories on inflation and a return to the infamous JonBenét Ramsey case.

On 60 Minutes this Sunday are stories on inflation and a return to the infamous JonBenét Ramsey case.

Lettuce Spray
Australians are shouting it in the streets, in supermarket aisles and across their back fences to neighbours. How is it possible in this country that a lettuce has come to cost ten dollars or more? It’s ridiculous. Sure, there are factors out of our control, like the war in Ukraine and business shutdowns caused by the COVID pandemic, that have contributed to the dramatic cost of living increases, but when is the pain going to ease? It seems not any time soon. In fact, it’s likely that the latest inflation number, to be released next Wednesday, will signal even harder times ahead. Tara Brown reports on the best way struggling families can weather the financial storm.

Justice for JonBenét
In photographs and home videos, JonBenét Ramsey is instantly recognisable. Her big blue eyes, even bigger blonde hair and perfect smile show a happy six-year-old beauty pageant princess. Tragically though, as the world knows, JonBenét was murdered in her own home 25 years ago. Despite all the attention the case has attracted, her killer remains free. For JonBenét’s father, John Ramsey, that is unbearably painful, but he hasn’t given up hope of getting justice for his precious daughter. In fact, with advances in DNA technology, he says there is now a strong likelihood this mystery can finally be solved. But as Sarah Abo reports, John faces an extraordinary roadblock in his search for the truth. The very police who are investigating the crime appear to be unwilling to help him.
