  1. Agree to disagree, are you saying that the two cameras, surveying at the vehicle gate and front gate were not installed by the Hunting team? and are always in the street so they don’t monitor them,

  2. One of the most interesting parts of the show (and, yes, you do have to suspend disbelief occasionally) is what the chase does to the emotions of both the hunted and hunters. When we watched (and loved) the UK seasons on the ABC years ago, it was this part that really made the show. We saw a bit of it on this first night, with a couple of teams struggling with the paranoia right from the start.

Considering they competitors in this competition have lots of time to prepare and presumably they have studied the show, one can only think that real criminals must have nerves of steel to live on the run.

Loved the first night, especially when it looked like a capture was inevitable but my only complaint was that there was a bit of recapping used after ads. Not necessary, and it detracts from the suspense. Had to laugh at the “error” made by the hunters, but it was good to see how they readjusted to minimise it.

  3. The involvement of Graeme Simpfendorfer piqued my interest as he’s from our area and has regularly come up in our local news. I hope this does well for Ten but I’m not sure if I want to make the commitment to watch for however many episodes a week. I’m certainly not as much of a reality tv watcher these days as I was when, say, Big Brother first started on 10. I’ll catch bits of Hunted before HYBPA? and the Cheap Seats and see if it sucks me in!

    1. Well I did give the first episode a chance, I did get sucked in to it and the chase. Pretty impressive. Kinda scary with all the surveillance going on!

      1. Yet when that white car left the corner house and they followed it, the two ladies left by the front gate and the super surveillance unit didn’t see them.leave when there was a camera on the gate at all times😏

        1. There was only one car deployed at the house, so there weren’t extra “boots on the grounds” when the team left on foot. However, we were also a bit confused by what seemed to be surveillance showing them leave. Where was that camera? One of the important factors to the viewer is being able to distinguish between surveillance footage, and ordinary camera filming and I think in this case we were seeing the camera but it had been edited as if it was surveillance.

    2. From the look of it, the commitment won’t be as great as the article portrays it to be. Three nights a week in the first week, but I think it is just five episodes (so I think next Monday will be the last episdoe, so it will be two in the second and final week).

  4. I have just finished watching the first ep and have to say that it was more compelling than I expected it to be.
I’m sure, like all reality shows, the editing makes all the difference.
    I’ll definitely keep watching.

    1. Just saw the first episode, and boy was it fantastic. Will definately be giving 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown a miss tomorrow night so I can watch Hunted.

  5. I’m going to disagree with the negative views that have been expressed here. This looks refreshing and the fact it is filmed in Melbourne will lift numbers there to start.

  6. I won’t be watching considering how flogged this show is getting during ad breaks. This will be a flop. Everyone is sick of reality shows.

  7. I wonder how much they have tweaked some things to make this work. The UK version occasionally simulates the “spy camera” footage (which it admits up front) but is nevertheless one of the most surveilled countries in the world, with over six million surveillance cameras, scattered across every city, town, and village. It’s mind boggling. In comparison, Australia has very little. So I am expecting they’re going to fake up a lot of it to give the Hunters a fighting chance.
