Josh Thomas: “I got to hang out with literally the best dog in the universe”

Much-loved cavoodle, John, who featured in Please Like Me, has died at the age of 16.

Comedian Josh Thomas has posted photos of his much love cavoodle, John, who has died at age 16.

“We said goodbye to John today. He had Lymphoma,” he wrote on Instagram.

“We’ve spent the last month eating lots of treats and sitting in the garden with our friends.

“I’m sad but very grateful I got to hang out with literally the best dog in the universe for 16 years.”

The “50 percent Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, 50 percent poodle” appeared as himself in ABC comedy Please Like Me.

Despite becoming a TV canine favourite, in 2014, John was sadly prevented from attending the Logie Awards.

In 2020, Thomas adopted a puppy, Bilby a few weeks into Covid quarantine.
