Filming has now completed on the Kath & Kim 20th anniversary special while more info is trickling in…
The Herald Sun has added to the story broken by TV Tonight that cast were filming this week in South Melbourne.
Gina Riley and Jane Turner have reportedly shot 10 minutes of new footage for the show, which will run as a 20 to One style format of hits, memories and unseen clips from the vault.
A TV insider said: “The Kath & Kim project filming in Melbourne is a clip show. There is no deep storyline, no new episode.
“The conveyor belt of black SUVs outside the NEP Studio are celebrities who are there to talk about their favourite Kath And Kim moments.”
Following on from news that Sonia Kruger and Celia Pacquola are amongst said celebrities, Collingwood’s Mason Cox is also said to be in the mix.
Personally, I have faith this will draw inspiration from the Friends reunion rather than 20 to One, although it seems no studio audience.

what a massive disappointment 🙁
Although a Kath and Kim clip show has already been done a readily available there will be a appetite for another.
A bit like Hey Hey… go away for a decade come back offering another trip down memory lane and watch the viewers pour in for some nostalgia.
This will likely rate it’s socks off on what ever network it lands. I’m predicting it’s going to be a on 7 at 7 on a Sunday night.
Watch out if it blows up OzTAM in overnight, if it does it could get the Hey Hey treatment until interest wanes with several clip shows to follow over the next 12 months.
There must be nearly as many of these “specials” as there are Kath & Kim episodes by now!
If it’s another clip show, that’s not really much to be excited for…they have done a few of these already
Oh god. All this for another clip show? The Kath and Kim Kountdown is on Netflix incase anyone wants D Grade celebs talking about their favourite moments, they did this all after the movie was released 10 years ago!
