Lucy Lawless, Robert & Bindi Irwin to guest on RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under

It's an LGBTQI+ icon and two famed Irwins as first guests on the next Drag Race.

LGBTQI+ icon Lucy Lawless (Xena: Warrior Princess) and wildlife warriors, Bindi and Robert Irwin (Crikey! It’s the Irwins) are first guests to be announced for S2 of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under.

Bindi and Robert Irwin said: “How could we not be involved in a show as fun and iconic as RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under?! We’re big fans and were chuffed to help kick off the new season, especially after Art Simone’s hilarious Snatch Game impersonation last year! We can’t wait to see how all our Down Under kanga-rus go this season.”

Lucy Lawless said: “I absolutely loved being part of the new season of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under and can’t believe I got to sit beside RuPaul, Michelle and Rhys! Of course I know a thing or two about being a warrior princess but these new queens are absolutely next level. So fierce and so fabulous, I was in complete awe and am really looking forward to seeing how they all go!”

The recently announced queens of the new season ready to battle it out on the runway are: Aubrey Haive (NZ/MEL), Beverly Kills (QLD), Faux Fur (SYD), Hannah Conda (SYD/PER), Kween Kong (SA/NZ), Minnie Cooper (SYD), Molly Poppinz (NTL), Pomara Fifth (SYD), Spankie Jackzon (NZ/MEL) and Yuri Guaii (NZ).

They’ll be joined by judges RuPaul, Michelle Visage and Australia’s own Rhys Nicholson who will all be returning to the main stage, with additional extra special celebrity guest stars soon to be announced.

The Stan Original Series RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under is a World of Wonder production in collaboration with Warner Bros. International Production New Zealand for Stan and TVNZ. Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato, RuPaul Charles and Tom Campbell serve as Executive Producers. Passion Distribution will distribute the series globally in line with Passion Distribution and WOW’s distribution strategy

  1. Lucy Lawless! Yasss!

Were the Irwins show up in person or via a pre-recorded video like they did with Kylie, ONJ, the Veronicas, Troye, and Taika Waititi last year? Haha. That was awkward.

  2. I’d love to know if Lucy will return to Melbourne to film more my life is murder. I think it’s a much better show when it was in Melbourne
