Bumped: Win the Week

ABC quiz show gets a later slot, which also knock The Last Leg to a new time.

ABC has bumped panel show Win the Week to a later slot from next week.

The show only drew 266,000 in its 8pm slot this week, but next week will air at 9:30pm.

In its place are repeats of Hard Quiz.

This also pushes back Adam Hills: The Last Leg.

ABC wasn’t expected to renew the show for a second season but Head of Television & Specialist Michael Carrington told TV Tonight in February, “I’m going to give it another go. It was affected by COVID. It had a break in the middle of production, they didn’t have a studio audience …there were so many elements to the original idea that didn’t come to fruition, for external reasons. But there was something there. I think Craig Reucassel is determined to learn from where we were last year. I think it deserves another go.”

  1. I don’t think it’s the show’s fault. I get ABC through terrestrial, and there is constant problems with the reception of ABC (VHF Channel 12 seems to be prone to problems as I seem to get “Invalid Service” or “No Signal” whenever I watch something on ABC), especially at night and bad weather. So the poor ratings could be attributed to the reception ABC has on terrestrial television and not the content, which is pretty good. If it is moved to VHF Channel 10 (which is now vacant following the end of analogue television in 2013), then it could improve the ratings not just for Win The Week, but for the majority of shows on ABC.

  2. It’s good they had a second run after the disrupted first season…the first episode of this second season was much improved. However, I would rather watch Hard Quiz repeats. Hopefully not too much longer to wait for new episodes.

  3. I’m glad it’s only changed times was worried it was taken off before I got to go on an episode, from the auditions I’ve passed. Can’t wait.
