  1. I haven’t watched swimming for a very long time but it seems that Australia have dominated the sport for so many years now. I watched a replay of the rugby 7s on the 7+ via fetch. Rugby 7s are a much faster format compared to the normal ruby game. However, the commentary is quite bland.

    1. Swimming here has a lot of govt effort put into it, and Australia is a very wealthy country amongst most of the Commonwealth nations to support it-there are many major world sports that have almost no profile here like ice hockey due to the basic climate differences from the major players of it.

    2. I think the live streams & replays on the 7+ app have the world feed commentary and not the Australian or 7 commentary team. That is how it was for the Olympic replays & live streams

  2. With the TV rights for Olympics, AFL and the next Comm Games (in Victoria) all up for grabs in the near future, it’s hard to see how seven can find the money for all these (unless they are successful with exiting the cricket which doesn’t seem likely).

  3. I’ve been enjoying watching the highlights via the 7 Plus App each night, but this morning I was so annoyed at Sunrise – around 7am Kochie and Nat were chatting to several commentators about events that had occurred previously, then Kochie said, ‘let’s now go to the closing stages of the swimming medley’, and we saw the last 10 seconds of a live race that had been going on while they were chatting. Giaan Rooney even said she’d been watching the race on her phone.
