‘Inappropriate’ Bluey episode to be restored in USA

When Bandit let out a fluffy, Disney Junior just couldn't cope.

An episode of Bluey, which was initially considered “inappropriate” for Disney Junior in the USA is being restored.

“Family Meeting” features discussion about dad Bandit letting slip a “fluffy”, prompting the episode to be unavailable to US viewers on the platform.

But screenings through other platforms has led to a rethink.

Disney Junior told Disney theme park blog Pirates & Princesses, “Family Meeting will roll out on U.S. platforms soon. Some of the Bluey content did not meet Disney Junior broadcast S&P in place at the time the series was acquired. Now that it is rolling out on other platforms, it is a great opportunity to reevaluate which is what we plan to do.”

It’s not the first time the Aussie show has undergone, umm, changes stateside with the excision of a market pony which dumps a huge poo on the grass, a burp by Bandit changed to a sneeze, Bingo asking Bandit how babies get in the mother’s belly, and “ooga-booga” changed to “Shooby-Doowah.”

Random.
