The upcoming Kath & Kim special on Seven will reveal unseen footage of Shane Warne from his filming in 2007.

Warne appeared as a Shane Warne impersonater, ‘Wayne Shorne’, whom Sharon (Magda Szubanski) fell in love with.

Speaking to Frankly‘s Fran Kelly, Szubanski said it was hard to believe the spin king was gone, and watching the footage made her sad. But she was also full of praise for the star bowler who was a great sport during filming.

Kath & Kim’s Effluent Life is coming to Seven at a date yet to be announced, while Szubanski appears on Frankly tonight at 8:30pm on ABC.

Other guests tonight include Richard Roxburgh and UK actor Shazad Latif.

  3. I’ve enjoyed every episode of this series, it’s a good mix of guest. I loved the episode with the young guys from the remote outback town wearing Kiss make up and rocking an original song they wrote. As an ageing rocker myself I rewound it several times and busted some moves to it. Hope they get recognition and get more gigs. This show well, It’s noice different unusual and hope not ovah.🤣
