  1. Rogue Heroes is my main interest and it’s been a long wait. Though the subject matter of this short series wont be to everyone’s taste being mostly about war and the early bellicose yarns of an embryonic SAS I have heard from a UK source who has watched the whole show on BBC iPlayer that the production is pretty good, if you ignore some creative twists and unfortunate revisions to reality, generally Tom Shankland has used the books (of the same name) source material quite well. ‘Erotic Stories’ reminds me when the SBS was the hub of soft porn for a while, there’s still the occasional titillating title available but the SBS has mellowed with age.

  2. Some glimmer of hope in this offering but I’ve no doubt the year will be filled in with the inevitable docos on the Royals, how Rome was built, who’s travelling by train when or where ever and of course how the pyramids where built or worse digging up ancient coins in some obscure field in the dales in England. Most of those have been on Foxtel. As for the food channel most of those have been on Foxtel Food/Lifestyle channels that’s in contrast to Magda’s Big National Health Check on the ABC considering we are told how obesity is killing us making cakes and puds. Confusing is the go there. But bring on anything drama/comedy made in Australia.

      1. I’ve been a member of the Australian Railway Historical (some say hysterical) Society since the 1980s and I do love the train travel genre though, so here’s hoping.

        1. I believe there was a short film about regional Norwegian rail travel some months ago, ‘Travel the Nordlandsbaden minute by minute’, which shows the journey in both summer time and winter time settings with thick snow everywhere. The guardsman ( who was approaching retirement), sat at the rear of the train and had done the same trip for many years, back and forth on the same single track and had loved every minute of it, or so he said. If I remember correctly, he had a job for life until he decided to retire.

  3. Alone is a good show, so I’m interested to watch the local version.

“While the Men Are Away” sounds like it’s progressive folding back on itself to being regressive. Promoting the idea sexual attraction isn’t innate. It may not be that, but that’s how it reads.

  4. Safe Home and possibly Erotic Stories, I like the idea of Julia Zemiro walking around parts of Australia, such an engaging presenter.
This has more that appeals than most of the Commercial networks

  5. Disney have so far failed to renew The Orville for S4 in 2023. It was reckoned that it’s was 50/50 but the odds of it not being renewed must increase the longer there is no word. Even if it was renewed it’s unlikely to air on Hulu or Disney+ before 2024 now. The thing with next years Eurovision, Ukraine could field Milli Vanilli and still win. And even if that wasn’t going to happen, there is clear evidence of a voting block against Australia because we shouldn’t be in the competition because we aren’t anywhere near Europe.

  6. Eurovision: Australia Decides is a great investment in the arts. Unless there’s a tragedy or natural disaster when else do we get to showcase established Australian singers in one programme? Please bring it back SBS.

  7. The silence on Eurovision Australia Decides is very strange. Hard to understand why they would leave it out if everything was going ahead like it did this year. The only glimmer of hope is that it has been reported that Myf will be absent from Rocky Horror performances between March 8-12 due to Eurovision commitments…. The wait continues

  8. I think we can probably rule out a Eurovison national final for next year. Entries typically have to be selected by mid-March and there would usually be a song submission ‘window’ that would have started by now.
