Ann Sanders, Joe O’Brien to host Walkley Awards

Seven News presenter Ann Sanders and ABC News presenter Joe O’Brien will host the 67th Walkley Awards, on Thursday, 17 November.

The gala dinner, to be held at the International Convention Centre in Sydney, will recognise the best in journalistic excellence in 2022.

“The Walkleys honour the excellent work of Australian journalists and I’m excited to be part of the presentation to acknowledge our industry’s very best, following a momentous news year,” said Sanders.

The Walkley Foundation’s chief executive officer Shona Martyn said: “It is no easy task hosting an event in a ballroom full of excited journalists all eager to see who has triumphed in the Walkley Awards, Australia’s most prestigious journalism awards.

“Each year we call on the services of two top presenters to steer the proceedings with gravitas, warmth and aplomb. I am thrilled that this year Seven’s Ann Sanders and the ABC’s Joe O’Brien, two consummate professionals, have agreed to front journalism’s night of nights.”
