Rumour: Are AACTAs Queensland bound?

Another screen industry event looks to have been snared by the Sunshine state.

Queensland may have nabbed the AACTA Awards.

It’s understood Destination NSW is no longer a partner of the annual industry awards but the Sunshine state appears to have added it to their kitty.

All will be confirmed shortly with AACTAs President Russell Crowe and AACTA / AFI President Damian Trewhella, making a special announcement on Saturday together with the Queensland Government and Major Events Gold Coast.

Queensland also has the Screen Producers Australia Screen Forever conference in May.

TV Week Logie Awards are yet to be confirmed for 2023.

  1. The rumour has come out to be true. The AACTA Awards are in deed moving to the Gold Coast. Going by the press release on the AACTA website, the next ceremony will be held in February 2024. A move away from December.
