Did Australian Survivor mislead contestants?
When Matt was promised a '1 in 5 shot' at winning, only to see it go up in smoke with a producer twist...

It may have been just part of the routine script but did Australian Survivor host Jonathan LaPaglia mislead contestants this week?
On Monday night JLP told contestant Matt he had a ‘1 in 5 shot’ at winning the $500,000 prize after his victory in the the latest Immunity challenge.
But as viewers later learned, nobody was eliminated from the game with Nina and Gerry sent to ‘Survivor Isolation’ – to be released 24 hours later in time for the next Immunity Challenge (this Sunday night).
This leaves 6 players still in the game, denying Matt his “1 in 5” shot as promised.
As one reader noted this week, “I think one rule with twists is that you should never really outright lie to your contestants. JLP did exactly that with last nights immunity challenge saying to Matt you have a “guaranteed one in five shot” of winning, which unless his immunity carries over is now not the case.”
That answer will be solved tomorrow night…

FYI – Nina and Gerry are not participating the next immunity challenge. The next time they see the rest is when they go to the next Tribal Council. That’s the twist.
For goodness sake, it’s Survivor! There is always some kind of twist. What a ridiculous thing to get annoyed about.
