Disappointing that Back in Time for the Corner Shop didnt make Top 20, let alone Top 10. I have however, come across something that may either help or hinder; an article that abc/channel 2 did to premiere the this version; My aim/intent is to further help re viewer numbers.

The Larkins is cringeworthy awful tripe, but an unexpected pleasure for me last night on the ABC was Under the Vine – great seeing Rebecca Gibney in something new and she combines well on screen with Charles Grant(he was in The Crown), very warm hearted stuff with some comedy thrown in and nice NZ scenery.
They are some pretty big pay tv numbers for the Dolphins v Raiders game. Don’t often see a program hit 300,000+ viewers on Fox.

Is there any chance we will get to see the ITV series ‘Grace’ here? I believe the first two-episode series was handled incredibly poorly by channel 7.
It is up to the third series in the UK, is extremely popular and is based closely on the best crime book series I’ve ever read (18 in all so far).
The TV show starring John Simm looks great on ITV trailers.
It should have been in the ABC stable here (leave the repeats to the commercials). An opening now ‘Endeavour’ draws to a close next week?

ajh: in total agreement about “Grace”, if only the ABC or SBS had the rights to some of those recent British dramas which Seven has totally mishandled or stuck in graveyard slots or relegated to Seven Two. It’s still a bug bear of mine that the ABC never got the rights to Foyle’s War and Lewis.
The ABC did have the original rights to Foyle’s War. They showed the whole series several years ago and repeated it a couple of times.
